One event is when Gertie was sat in the front row and Mary Sue stole Gertie’s seat. On career day Mary Sue’s mother is a lobbyist so, she is against oil rigs because it makes pollution in the ocean. But Gertie’s dad works on oil rigs that is one reason Mary Sue doesn’t like Gertie.

This story is a great story. This story is about how Gertie’s summer went and on her first day of fifth grade. She sit in the front of the class then Mary Lou the new yell at Gertie, but the teacher nicely asked Gertie to move because she said that Mary Lou could sit there. Then, in the middle of the story, Mary Lou’s mom had a job and because of her job her mom is against oil rigs because it makes their ocean bad. One reason why Mary Lou mom does not like Gertie is because gertie’s dad’s job is a oil rigs.

Gertie’s leap to greatness was about Gertie and her mission to be the best fifth grader. There is a new girl named Mary Sue, her dad is a movie director so she is popular and on the first day of school she took Gertie’s seat. After that she started calling Mary a seat stealer. Mary did a lot of things to make Gertie mad but then she took gertie’s part in the play. After that Gertie wanted to do something to get her back but finds out Mary thinks Gertie is the popular one so Gertie feels bad and let’s Mary be in the play.
